A flat-out lie from Sunak. We did not ‘have all the arguments about no-deal’ in the referendum. We didn’t even have them in the 2019 election. The Brexiters never once suggested we’d leave without a deal and the Tories based their campaign on having one.
I highlight this because it's such a sadly common phenomenon on here. It's why Twitter is now asking users to read things before they retweet with comment.
I can't really make sense of what she's on about but what's clear is she saw only a first-sentence preview in a quote tweet https://twitter.com/DaveKeating/status/1332418978464075783
@Clisare So, you posted a profanity-laced tirade about a tweet you didn't actually read?
If you read beyond the 1st sentence you would have seen this was a question someone else asked me, and 'watch here'.
This is why Twitter is asking people if they read things before they comment now.

Reminder: No matter what people might say inside a Wyndham Inn, it is false to state that the Trump campaign alleged fraud.

I had been wondering what had happened to the Darroch investigation. Anyone know more? Man arrested in connection with Official Secrets Act ‘linked to Darroch cables,’ report says | The Independent https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/official-secrets-act-arrest-metropolitan-police-darroch-leak-b1130092.html
The prospect of Brexit talks breaking down over fish is so laughable, preposterous and inane that it feels almost inevitable.

I find it hard to think of a single serious political mind in the UK, to be honest. Who speaks with knowledge, pragmatism and vision?
@Otto_English @DanKaszeta Are there any real grown up political minds anywhere near NO.10?
It just seems to be a cabal of failed journalists, AD men and venture capitalists.
A philanthropic thought or original idea just seem to be a millennia away.

Well fuck me, Johnson repeatedly campaigned on the promise, which he said was a central part of his “levelling up” agenda to make rural and urban parts of Britain ready for a post-Brexit future. Who'd a thought he would break a promise?
Bad news. This means that freight will divert from the Rosslare to Pembroke and Rosslare to Fishguard routes. The Pembroke to Rosslare route alone supports 500 jobs in Wales of which 400 are in #Pembrokeshire. Thank you so much all you who voted for #Brexit. This is catastrophic. https://twitter.com/DFDSGroup/status/1332258308388958208
Good news: we are opening a direct Ireland – France ferry route on 2 January. This new freight ferry route between Rosslare and Dunkerque offers lorries and their drivers direct and paperless transport between EU countries

The UK immediately falls into the European Neighbourhood once the transition period ends, and like every other state within the Neighbourhood, the UK will be subject to every influence that the EU exerts externally.

@MichelBarnier @DavidGHFrost @jimbrunsden @BorisJohnson Which takes us one step back to the 'original sin' of this negotiation, which is that it is based on a UK vision of 'sovereignty' and 'freedom' that doesn't really exist. The EU is - like it or not - going to exert that gravitational pull on the UK. It's just an economic fact /15
@pmdfoster @MichelBarnier @DavidGHFrost @jimbrunsden @BorisJohnson Respectfully: no.
It’s way worse than 1992, please drop that framing.
