Always strikes me as odd that Romania is used as a “bad level to measure by”.
Since 2000 it’s been one of the fastest growing countries in Europe.
Indeed it’s rapidly catching up those countries that had the benefit of bordering the rich west like Poland.
@Alberto___x @NICOLEDASILVAO1 @Noname06401912 @nickbeddows @nicktolhurst Fella you literally attacked me calling me a idiot and dumb despite knowing I am SEN, that’s intolerant. One thing about the EU that concerns me is that it’s a taking group not a giving like what does Romania bring to the table?
It is hard to overestimate how utterly beyond the realm of standard academic & polling practice this is.
The BBC's "impartial" populist of choice is using such leading & loaded polls to push for the Conservatives.
@BBCNewsnight & @BBCPolitics really have no excuse anymore.
Bloody hell, talk about creating response bias. Astounded with this wording that the difference wasn't even more.
How unlucky is this.
The only person, out of 68 million people, to have caught flu in Britain this year...
....is Arsenal premier League player Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Is this too simplistic?
Given vast majority of over 50s in UK are (partially) vaccinated against COVID..but that majority of the population isn’t..
The likely result of ending lockdown:
▶️ Covid cases jump back up to high winter levels again..but at much much lower death rate.

The following thread from cabinet minister @DavidGHFrost is a lie.
The latest figures show not only that on a year-on-year basis UK-EU trade is down...
..but also that trade with the EU still hasn’t recovered the way non-EU trade has.
A cabinet minister is simply lying to you. https://twitter.com/DavidGHFrost/status/1370323826677014528
1. I have been looking at today's trade numbers. This month's unique combination of factors made it inevitable that we would see some unusual figures this January. As @ONS has pointed out, caution should be applied when interpreting these statistics.
Why?
It’s starting to look like the UK govt doesn’t actually need to change food regulations to get trade deals with many of its target market countries...
...but that a commitment to changing regulations has become a totemic psychological policy to “prove” it now has sovereignty.
I’ve been given no indication Australia wants the UK to change its food standards, for what it’s worth. Just interested in market access (tariff reduction). https://twitter.com/davidheniguk/status/1381877824387227649
I am looking to fill a few post doc positions. Projects include SARS-CoV-2, influenza and hantaviruses. Candidates should have experience in virology plus a lot of motivation. Let me know if you are interested.
Brilliant thread - v interesting for France.
So today’s big covid Twitter debate has been the relative contribution of lockdown (or, more broadly, controls / NPIs) and vaccinations to bringing down case rates. It occurs to me that we already have some numbers – or at least assumptions – that we can look at: 1/4
That Rimbaud guy sure can write.
Totally proves my point.
68% of people are woke.
Go Woke, Go Broke
"I'd be more likely to vote for a party that thinks the UK should celebrate a proud history" = 68%
"I'd be more likely to vote for a party that thinks the UK should atone for a problematic history" = 32%
